The above is a picture of the family on an a sight seeing outing to the desert to see Taq Kissra. My mother is at the wheel. I am on the far right next to my father. My sister Laura perky as ever, with brothers George and Zuzu. My father, mother and brother Zuzu have since passed away to other dimensions! As long as my mother was alive we corresponded in Arabic. Laura lives in London with her British family who all speak English of course, George lives in Zurich with his Swiss German speaking family, and I, live in Vevey on the lake of Geneva, near my French speaking grandchildren. All three of us are grandparents. None of our children speak Arabic. My sister and I still speak as much as we can in Arabic to the annoyance of the rest of the family who don't understand us! My youngest brother Johnny was born some years after this photo was taken. Johnny was one year old when we left Baghdad. He is single and lives in London.
A cosmopolitan, thriving, dynamic, energetic Baghdad, was the backdrop of where Margo's life journey began. Growing for the first two decades of her life in a multi-faceted environment of multi-religious cultures she experienced a rich exotic colorful existence, sprinkled with the vitality of different flavors of human conditions, fate, destiny, fortunes and misfortunes. Her early exuberant experiences of life in the Middle east determined her values in life. Margo who has since travelled the world and has lived across continents, is a futurist, visionary, writer, speaker, artist and spiritual teacher. Her mission is to empower people and in particular women, through conscious evolution. Margo, today mother and grandmother, an optimist by nature believes that peace will return to the Middle East.
About Margo
Margo Kirtikar (1939) was born in Baghdad, to liberal Christian parents, (mother Syrian/father Indian). She was raised and educated in Baghdad, Damascus and Bangalore. At the age of 4 she attended a French Catholic Convent in Baghdad, was educated in three languages, Arabic, French and English. Of course she had a tough time not knowing where exactly she belonged but that was sorted out early enough. She feels at home in a multi cultural, multi lingual, multi religious environment so of course she enjoys multi national music and cuisine and most of all multi faceted friends and environment. She headed west at the age of 20, married a Swiss, learned German, and after raising a family, three daughters, and managing various businesses, including spending many years in Manhattan, she decided to switch paths and go back to her real passion where she feels she is her most authentic self, the metaphysical world. She is psychic, has strong intuition and lives in other dimensions too. She's never given up studying and learning and growing and believes this is what life is all about. Always moving forward to become bigger and better and to achieve to the best of who we are. Life is about loving and being loved.
After going through many long years of education and degrees in international business relations, finances, banking, trading, marketing, she finally received her Doctorate degree in the Philosophy of Metaphysics. She loves to be creative no matter what, so she loves to write, to coach, to teach, to speak, to paint, to dream, yoga to relax, to dance, to play and to cook. Meditation and self reflection is a natural part of her being. She also loves being grandmaman to two boys. Life for her is one big roller coaster with all the scary take your breath away and make your blood curdle parts and the free breezy easy exhilarating bits in between. She loves spending time with family and friends but enjoys just as much spending time with herself alone.
